With the arrival of 294 new electric buses at the Port of San Antonio, Ian Taylor, a subsidiary of Empresas Taylor, successfully completed the third and final call of a vessel operated by the shipping company EUKOR, thus completing the unloading of a total of 893 buses destined to modernise Santiago’s public transport system.

This operation marks a logistical and environmental milestone for Chile, since with this shipment, Santiago will become the city, outside China, with the largest number of electric buses in circulation in the world, standing out as a global benchmark in sustainable mobility.

‘We are proud to be part of this initiative that not only improves the quality of public transport, but also reinforces the importance of the Port of San Antonio as a gateway for clean technology to the country,’ said Ronald Salinas, Agency Coordinator of Ian Taylor in San Antonio.

Ian Taylor highlighted the excellent coordination of the operations team, which was in charge of a high standard logistics manoeuvre, reaffirming the company’s commitment to the development of foreign trade and the transition to a more sustainable transport in Chile.

With this operation, Ian Taylor reaffirms its strategic role as a key logistics partner for projects of great national impact, accompanying the country on its path towards a greener and more innovative future.
