Ian Taylor agency science vessel reaffirming its position as a reliable logistics partner in scientific and Antarctic operations

Ian Taylor Ship Agency successfully completed the port care of the icebreaker and scientific research vessel Nathaniel B. Palmer, part of the US National Science Foundation (NSF) Antarctic programme. This logistical operation, unprecedented for the company, was carried out in the port of San Vicente, Talcahuano, with the aim of unloading materials and carrying out key resupply tasks for its mission.

The Nathaniel B. Palmer is a 94-metre scientific vessel, specially designed to operate in the harsh conditions of the Southern Ocean. Its capacity to accommodate up to 45 scientists and technicians makes it a strategic platform for research in areas such as oceanography, marine biology, geology and climate change.
