Hamburg Süd appoints Ian Taylor

as Port Agent for Chile and Peru

The subsidiary of Empresas Taylor was recently appointed as Port Agent for Chile and Peru by the prestigious German shipping company Hamburg Süd, for the reception and dispatch of its ships in the ports of both countries.

Since 2017, Hamburg Süd has belonged to Maersk Line, which this year tendered the joint volume of both lines for Chile and Perú, awarding Ian Taylor the port agency for both countries. The choice of Ian Taylor as port agent for Hamburg Süd, among other aspects, is due to its seriousness, experience, coverage, service excellence, IT-technological solutions and after-sales documentary service through its Service Center.

Since 1871, Hamburg Süd has been synonymous with strong brands in the international logistics services sector. Since the end of 2017, it has been part of Maersk Air, the world leader in international shipping services. The Hamburg Süd shipping line operates worldwide, with more than 250 offices throughout the world. In addition to being one of the largest container shipping companies in the world, it also stands out in tramp shipping, where the sailings of their ships and their destination ports are oriented towards specific customer demands.
