Ian Taylor in Peru, together with HOYER, attended the first flexitank operation with the new single-layer bags of the Powertex brand, which provides greater scope and opportunities to the regular bag (Multilayer) for the segment of fish oil and its derivatives, palm oil, Used cooking Oil (UCO), lubricating oils, among others.

Some benefits of these bags are: they are air-tested before packing, have better discharge performance due to their suction resistance, less balance inside the container after loading, more resistance against leakage, less product residues in the bag after discharge. In addition, disposal costs at destination are usually cheaper compared to multilayer and it is ECO-Friendly, easier to dispose/recycle.

According to Rocio Ponce, Country Manager of Ian Taylor in Peru, “together with HOYER we are starting the work of showing the multiple benefits of using these bags for the liquid cargo segment. This first shipment consists of 3 units destined for the port of Coronel, Chile, and whose product is refined fish oil. It is undoubtedly an innovation that we are presenting and we hope that it will be well received in this market, as its benefits are being highly appreciated by the customers to whom we have presented the product, so we hope to increase its commercialisation this year”.

It should be noted that Ian Taylor is the exclusive representative of HOYER, a leader in the global liquid transport market, in Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Colombia.
