In fulfillment of its five years Strategic Growth Plan, Empresas Taylor has initiated a Plan to renew the fleet of tugs owned by its subsidiary Ian Taylor in Perú.

On January 15, 2016, in a ceremony that took place in Lima, Perú, Empresas Taylor and Damen Shipyards of The Netherlands signed a Construction Contract for a new 2810 Azimuth Stern Drive Tug, with a Bollard Pull of 60 tons, which will be financed by Scotiabank, Perú. This unit will be built by the Dutch company in its shipyard in Vietnam.

This new tug will be named “Tayco Rasac” and will supplement the company’s current tug fleet in Perú.

This is the beginning of an important investment program designed by Empresas Taylor for the next five years.

The “Tayco Rasac” is the first tug of the “R” Series which Empresas Taylor will receive over the coming years, of which the main characteristics will be their ASD technology and their Bollard Pull.

With the acquisition of  the “Tayco Rasac”, the Company reaffirms its commitment to its customers and to the highest standards in the industry.
