Ian Taylor renews contracts with vehicle dealerships in Bolivia and EUKOR resumes departures from Xingang Port

Ian Taylor has renewed for 2023 its Fixture Note (annual contracts) with the most important dealers in Bolivia, thus ensuring the arrival in this country of thousands of vehicles for the domestic market.

In this way, the subsidiary of Empresas Taylor will continue its work with these vehicle importers and the shipping companies it represents: EUKOR and Wallenius Wilhelmsen Ocean (WWO).

In turn, this year EUKOR will resume departures from the port of Xingang, which were stopped last year due to congestion in Korean ports, so there were only departures of RoRo ships from Shanghai, which involved an extra cost for the transfer of units to the assigned port.

According to Juan Carlos Pereira, Country Manager of Ian Taylor in Bolivia, “we are pleased to be able to continue to have the confidence of our customers, with whom together with the shipping companies we represent, we will continue to work together to repeat the excellent figures we achieved in 2022. In addition, it is very important that EUKOR has announced that it will resume departures from Xingang, as this will expand the offer and also reduce costs”.

It should be added that Ian Taylor in Bolivia last year unloaded a total of 9,335 units at the port of Iquique, with the final destination being the country of the Altiplano, thus exceeding the figures for 2021, which reached 6,251 units.
