Four BBC Chartering vessels were simultaneously brokered by Ian Taylor in the Antofagasta region of Chile, both in Mejillones and in the port of the regional capital. The vessels loaded and unloaded a variety of copper products.
At Antofagasta, the BBC Maine loaded 7,809.571 MT of copper cathodes. At Puerto Angamos, Mejillones, the BBC Alberta discharged general cargo and loaded 4,000 MT of copper cathodes; the BBC Regalia discharged general cargo and loaded 9,000 MT of copper cathodes and the BBC Rosario discharged general cargo and loaded 5,400 MT of copper cathodes.
According to Rodolfo Jaramillo, Ian Taylor’s Agency Coordinator in Antofagasta, “the fact that our ship agency can simultaneously attend four BBC vessels in different ports in northern Chile, shows that our collaborators are prepared to provide a high quality service, as demanded by the cargoes that these vessels loaded or unloaded, both in Antofagasta and Mejillones.
