The launches are part of an investment plan aimed at improving the performance of its related company Ian Taylor in Chile and Peru.<\/p>\n

Since the year of its 50th anniversary, Empresas Taylor has carried out an investment plan in Chile and Peru, whose objective is to renew and strengthen the fleet of its flagship company, Ian Taylor, and thus continue to provide an excellent service to its clients.<\/p>\n

In that line, the traditional naming ceremony of the new Port and Pilot Launches “Taylor Batro” and “Taylor Calafqu\u00e9n” recently took place at Berth N\u00b0 6 of the TCVAL Port Terminal in Valparaiso, with which Ian Taylor will strengthen its fleet of launches in Chile.<\/p>\n

“These boats and others that we have considered, will allow us to provide support services to ships that call at Chilean ports, safely and efficiently,” said Matthew Taylor, CEO of Empresas Taylor.<\/p>\n

The Taylor Batro and Taylor Calafqu\u00e9n boats were built in 2017 at the Ascon shipyard in Puerto Montt and among their features are a steel hull, a capacity for 11 people, a bollard pull of 6, 5 tons and an operating speed of 12 knots<\/p>\n

The Launches were blessed by Father Jaime Herrera Gonz\u00e1lez, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Puerto Claro of Valpara\u00edso and the sponsors were the Ms. Brenda Badilla and Ms. Patricia Flores respectively.<\/p>\n
